Haarstick Jewelry's Next Generation

Throw a pile of Haarstick Jewelry's best vintage pieces onto a bed...Check!  Let your girls do whatever they want...Check!  Watch the magic happen through the lens...Check!

I have to admit this was my most favorite shoot thus far!  Not only because I was able to spend the day with my daughter and our friends, but because of the whimsy the girls effortlessly created on their own.  I was in awe of how easily they posed and moved in front of the camera as if the vintage clothes they dawned transformed them into little women.

The Mouligné Family at Sweet Berry Farm

Strolling through the evergreens at Sweet Berry Farm with the new Mouligné family was a treat.  Sweet baby Theo is just two months and all you would want in a babe.  Bubbles, smiles, and an adorable disposition.  We quickly took advantage of the setting sun and snapped a few pics before Theo had a chance to disagree with all the attention.

Carnegie Abbey Club

'Tis the season at the gorgeous Carnegie Abbey Club.  The premier golf and sporting club has decked their halls to the tilt with all the garland and tinsel one could desire.  This classic backdrop was the perfect location to shoot the Brown Family!  The two-story Christmas tree and spectacular golf terrain with sprawling views of the Narragansett Bay were ideal and the perfect pairing for the two cuties...

Newport's Famed Point Area

Newport’s famed Point area is located across the water from Goat Island and boasts spectacular views of Newport Harbor, The Newport Bridge and beyond.  This neighborhood is well preserved and steeped in historic heritage.  The Winston Family is lucky to call this area their “home” as they love where they live and live where they love.  The waterfront and pier provided a great backdrop for our photo shoot where their adorable two children Charlie and Amelia showed off their cheeky smiles.

Downtown Charlie Brown

We had the whole town to ourselves on a chilly but beautiful Saturday morning.  Strolling between Banister’s and Bowen’s Wharves in Newport, the Hoffner-Davis family showed off their smiles for the few who were there to see.  I loved the coastal-nautical vibe we were able to capture along the docks – which were decked to the hilt for the holiday season!

Sandy Point Beach

With Christmas right around the corner - you can't help but be abuzz with holiday spirit.  These two sweet sisters embody all the love and adorableness one would hope for during the holidays.  Santa is still real in the eye of these two, and it shows!  Sandy Point Beach in Portsmouth was the backdrop for this super cute photo shoot…

Haarstick Jewelry - A life of a rock-n-roller mom

Haarstick Jewelry is a growing brand, locally made here on Aquidneck Island - Known for bold pieces that feature gold and brightly colored accents.  These statement pieces are all designed and created by a hard working mom of three!  This "mompreneur" - who prefers to stay behind the scenes - is just as bold as her amazing jewelry line.  Her rock-n-roller vibe and L.A. style shines glitter through.  Recently featured in Vogue, Nylon and British Vogue, and Spirit and Flash Magazine to name a few – her jewels are quickly becoming a go to favorite of stylists and fashion editors around the globe.

I had a chance to work with Haarstick recently, and put together a montage of lifestyle and branding pictures that showcases her work, as well as the designer herself.  For more about this super cool mom and jewelry designer - check out her lux Instagram or Facebook Page!

Ireland - The Emerald Green Isle

With non-stop flights direct from Providence to Shannon, Cork or Dublin with Norwegian Air - Getting to Ireland has never been easier.  Norwegian Air offers comfortable, new planes with airfare at a fraction of the cost from rival airline carriers.  My husband and I were thrilled to be in Ireland within four and a half hours.

Stationed in the surfer town of Lahinch in Country Clare - we explored the surrounding areas during our whirlwind 3 Day/4 Night stay.  I found the most impressionable areas to be the Wild Atlantic Highway, famous for the Cliffs of Moher and County Clare's area named "The Burren."  The Burren is dominated by a karst landscape of limestone.  Its geographical expanse reaches from the uplands of north western Clare, bounded by Galway Bay and the Atlantic extending well into the Gort plain, encompassing Coole Park and the lakes around it.

Free from children, we stopped at almost every church, prehistoric monolith and geographically significant vantage point, all while enjoying the local pub fare along the way.  An amazing location for fresh Irish gastronomy is Monk’s Bar & Seafood Restaurant, in Ballyvaughan.  Set on a picturesque harbor overlooking tidal flats and coastal islands beyond, we dined on the best oysters we have ever had.  Followed by a delicious seafood stew accompanied by brown bread and the most amazing dessert, we left fortified to contiue our travels.

The Island Art Spot

For those who might not be familiar, grab a pen and paper and write this down!  The Island Art Spot, located in Wyatt Square on East Main Road in Middletown, RI - Is a magical place where kids big and small can come and craft to their hearts content.  Proprietor and creative master-mind, Jennifer Gee weaves seamlessly from one project to the next, keeping everyone's attention and assisting those when needed.

The space is bright and ever changing, from one season to the next, with beautiful inspirational quotes adorning the walls, mason jars filled with candy-colored goodness, and paints lined up in a row.

Whether you are looking for a fun afternoon for the kids, or for a place to come and relax with friends for an adult evening - The Island Art Spot is a gem worth visiting.

Saying Goodbye

I was recently asked to photograph clients and friends of a colleague from work.  For those who might not know, (my day job) is working as a marketing and social media consultant for Gustave White Sotheby's International Realty in Newport, RI.  As the eyes and ears of the office, I love to see the relationships each realtor curates and nurtures with their clients.  As you can imagine some of these relationships turn into special friendships through the years.

One such friendship was developed by Michelle Drum  and Kim Fleming and their clients that are leaving for a new adventure in Iceland.  As a goodbye gift, I came in to photograph special details of their extraordinary home, the lovely couple themselves, and their enigmatic companion "Topaz," a 25+ year old blue and yellow Macaw.

The Gross Family

Kevin and Christine Gross are part of our extended family.  This sweet couple and their one-year John were photographed at Third Beach in Middletown at sunset.  That evening's dramatic clouds and coastal setting made for the perfect backdrop for this young family's photo shoot.

Curaçao- La Isla Bonita

Curaçao, located just a few miles of the coast of Venezuela - is a Dutch Caribbean island, part of the Netherlands Antilles.  It also happens to be the birthplace of my father and where my paternal family still reside.  Almost every year since my birth, our family heads down to reconnect with our roots, and bask in the sun and sea.  I never take for granted the beauty of the warm azure blue waters, candy colored streets of downtown Willemstad, and the sincere embraces of all our family.  The arid backdrop of the Curaçao’s natural flora and fauna only intensify the surrounding colors of the architecture and sea.

This is our family's happy place, where we come to escape the Northeast winter, relax and rejuvenate our souls...

Block Island - Family Road Tripping

For the past five years my husband's maternal side of the family comes together for an epic long weekend on Block Island.  Each day is filled with exploratory trips around the island, tons of laughs, and ends in an extraordinary "variety" show.

A Night With Jack & Jackie

An elegant affair with JFK and Jackie O.  Who wouldn't want to be there?  Dressed to the nines, dapper gents John Gacher and Federico Santi of the Drawing Room of Newport,  really know how to put on the glitz.

"As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them." - JFK

Portsmouth Family Shoot

The Glen in Portsmouth, Rhode Island provides a myriad of places to shoot.  The Barth family of six and I hiked down tree-lined trails, across open fields, and woodland areas during this afternoon of fun.

The Glen Engagement Shoot

Ceila and Chris are an amazing sporty couple getting married in Summer of 2018.  Plans are set for the big day at Fort Adams.  I was honored to photograph them at the start of their incredible journey towards marital bliss!  Even their adorale dog Charlie joined in on the fun.

First Beach Family Shoot

Pat and Shauna are loving parents to an adorable girl!  During this sunset shoot, the family strolled along First Beach's shoreline and boardwalk, enjoying the salty breeze.

The Sybor Family Middletown shoot

The Sybor's are a fun and vivacious Navy family of five, stationed in Newport on a sanctioned educational sabbatical.   The original plan was to meet out at the beach - but the wind was whipping that day, so we quickly came up a Plan "B."  Photographed near sunset, the beautiful bucolic backdrop made for a perfect summer family session.
