Newborn Shoot - Baby Lucas

Nina and Nate Longley welcomed sweet baby Lucas into their life just a few weeks ago.  Shot at home - This sweet newborn shoot captured Lucas, his mother and father alongside his newest cousin born just a few weeks prior.  If you plan to hire a professional photographer or choose to take photos of your own, here a few tips to keep in mind:

First, plan to feed your baby right before you try to photograph him/her so he’ll be more likely to fall asleep. Sleeping babes, have such a peaceful look, whether bundled up or posed nude - with their little arms and legs exposed.  Secondly, have backups of everything - outfits, blankets, diapers, food, etc!   You never know who these little guys!!  Thirdly, have fun and take your time.  Expect to take breaks in-between poses to feed, lull your babe or comfort them when needed.  The point is ti create a soothing and loving environment for everyone to enjoy their special moments together.      

Spring has Sprung

With rising temperatures and blooming buds, it finally feels like spring has sprung here in the Northeast!  Newport, Rhode Island offers an array of outdoor activities and festivals around town that visitors and locals can take advantage of.  Most notable, Daffodil Days highlights the hundreds of thousands daffodils planted yearly by volunteer green thumbs.  Photo shoots can be arranged most anywhere now that hedges are in bloom, and foliage starts to show promise for warmer days ahead. 

Use a color story to create fresh, colorful photos to brighten up an empty wall in your home.  

Lifestyle with Bohemian Bias

Located on at the top of Mill Street in Newport, Rhode Island, Bohemian Bias is a funky boho-chic boutique that is filled with beautiful women's wear and accessories that ooze girl power with swagger.  Each season's collection is carefully curated by shop owner Alexis Souza, an Aquidneck Island native.  Her love for fashion and funky personal style is clearly marked throughout the store's interior.  Pom-poms, dried flowers, retro roller skates, vintage vinyl album covers, and stunning rugs and travel trunks are utilized as the shop's decor and a provide a cool aesthetic.

Ryan Lee Crosby at Sachuest Point

American guitarist, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Boston, Massachusetts, Ryan Lee Crosby is a versatile, exploratory musician with a restless drive to create.  Crosby's unique sound is a fusion of American blues and world music influences, which he performs on 12 and 22 string guitars.  Crosby was looking for a few images to accompany his new album and website  - so we headed outdoors on a super foggy day!  The inclement weather created an allure similar to Crosby's unassuming, folky swagger.  Most of the shots were captured at Sachuest Point National Wildlife Refuge as well as inside my home.
