Seaside Maternity Shoot

It’s funny how quickly time goes by during second and third pregnancies. Most moms-to-be are focused on taking care of first children, working, and ultimately too preoccupied embodying their inner “Wonder Woman.” Such is the case of A+J, a lovely Newport, RI couple pregnant with their second which was lovingly dubbed “Bobo” by their first babe. Shy of their due date by a few weeks - A+J contacted me for a family maternity shoot. We headed out to the beach on a super chilly, blustery day to capture a few shots of their baby to be.

A Twilight Engagement: Scott + Sara

Sarah McClutchy and Scott Buchanan are a perfect match. As longstanding friends (since high school) I joked they were high school sweet hearts. Both lovers of the outdoors…Scott is an environmental scientist and herpetologist, it was a natural choice to shoot outside. Though they had hoped for snow, the adorable couple braved frigid temps during this December twilight engagement shoot at Sachuest Point in Middletown, RI.

With a few clothing options in tow, Sarah and Scot were able to quickly switch their ensembles to accommodate the weather and vary the look and feel of their photos, from cozy to a bit more formal.

Love along the seashore

I was honored to shoot Middletown native Armond Lavalle and his fiancé Michelle Ann Post at Second Beach for their engagement. The sporty couple mixed things up starting off with a beautiful “beachy” look in the sand dunes and ended with rash guards and surf boards in the water. It was an epic evening with a gorgeous sunsets and full moon rising to boot.

The future Lavalle’s are getting hitched Summer 2019 in Narragansett, Rhode Island…on the beach of course!

Romance at Newport Vineyards

Born and raised on Aquidneck Island, Rhode Island - Jacqueline Dufault and her fiancé, fellow Long Islander Jared Schumer met me at Newport Vineyards for an engagement shoot. Inspired by their Tuscan engagement, the adorable and cheeky couple wanted to incorporate the romantic and dreamy feel of their recent Italian vacation into their shoot.

The future Schumers are thrilled to be chosen as Newport Bride’s 2019 couple of the year. Over the coming months they will be sharing all aspects of our personal wedding planning process with the general public - From the good, the creative, the stressful, ugly and the lovely.
